Frequently asked
Where are my files stored?
Your 3D files stay exactly where they are on your disk — Engram never moves or copies them. Engram only stores its own database (containing tags, thumbnails, and metadata) in your application data folder.
Does Engram work offline?
Yes. The free tier is fully offline. The Pro tier validates its license online occasionally, with a 7-day offline grace period for travel and unstable connections.
How do I transfer my Pro license to a new machine?
Pro licenses support up to two simultaneous devices. To free up a slot, deactivate Engram on the old machine via Settings → License, or email us and we'll reset your activation count.
What file formats does Engram support?
STL, 3MF, and OBJ for 3D models. ZIP, 7z, and RAR for archive import (Pro). Support for more formats is on the roadmap.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Refund requests made within 14 days of purchase are honored as long as the license has not been used on more than one device. See our terms for details.
Is Engram open source?
Engram is closed-source commercial software, but the free tier has no time limit and no file count limit. We use open-source components under their respective licenses.
